I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience offering individualized therapy and coaching for children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in providing evidence-based care to help people overcome the difficulties we all face in life that can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, or confused. I teach skills that enable people to work through these challenges and build enduring mental well-being and resilience.
I am also an Assistant Professor at the Yale Department of Psychiatry, where my research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the Veterans Administration.
I have worked extensively with people across the lifespan, ranging from children and adolescents to older adults. Since the COVID pandemic, I began working more with males aged 7-21 impacted by the pandemic's enduring disruption of school, home, and social life.
Working with a licensed psychologist can help with various emotional and behavioral concerns. Many of us encounter challenges during a major life transition -- such as starting a new school, adjusting to a new job, becoming a parent, or entering retirement -- that can result in feeling overwhelmed. We also experience painful life events including grief following a loss, feeling "stuck," or lacking meaning and purpose. Finally, we are all affected by stress associated with work, school, sports, family, or changes in health.
In addition to helping people navigate challenges like these, I also have expertise in helping people living with depression, severe anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, and compulsive behaviors that interfere with work, school, and overall health.

I use different forms of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches (e.g., positive psychology), and other proven methods to help identify, challenge, and replace negative thoughts and behaviors. Everything I do is rooted in evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches that are supported by scientific studies. I tailor my approach to each person's needs and goals, which sometimes includes working collaboratively with other professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, teachers).
I also focus on overall wellness as research has increasingly demonstrated that one's mental health is strongly connected to physical health, including sleep quality, diet, and physical fitness.
